HANOI, VIETNAM – May 26, 2025 – ExtendMax’s recognition at the 2025 Global Business Review Awards with two major honors was more than just a headline. For the team behind the scenes, it was the culmination of countless late-night meetings, last-minute document revisions, and urgent phone calls to ensure that clients’ projects remained on track.
The two awards presented were:
🏆 Most Leading IOR & EOR Services in Vietnam 2025 – Acknowledging ExtendMax as the country’s leading provider of Importer of Record (IOR) and Exporter of Record (EOR) services for high-tech products.
🏆 Business Icon of the Year in Vietnam 2025 – Awarded to Mr. Tran Thanh Phuong, Founder and CEO of ExtendMax, for his strategic vision and contributions to Vietnam’s legal compliance and logistics sectors.
As some team members often say jokingly, "Our work is invisible – if we do it right, no one notices; but if one thing goes wrong, everything stops." This quiet diligence is what gives our services real value. Every properly handled procedure is more than paperwork – it represents trust maintained between ExtendMax and global enterprises.
In recent years, importing ICT products into Vietnam has become increasingly complex. Stricter technical regulations and evolving legal requirements demand coordination between customers, suppliers, certification bodies, and government agencies.
At ExtendMax, we understand that most international clients are unfamiliar with Vietnam’s intricate regulations on civil cryptographic devices, cybersecurity licenses, or technical conformity standards. That’s why we don’t just handle customs clearance—we work closely with clients from the start: analyzing technical specifications, recommending compliant configurations, identifying required licenses, and anticipating legal risks.
Projects like LEGO Vietnam’s $1.3 billion factory, where we facilitated the timely importation of the entire ICT system, or Heineken’s marketing campaign involving "The Boring Phone", which required urgent licensing for cryptographic devices, are not only technical operations—they are high-stakes collaborations under strict deadlines. Each project brought unique pressure, but also strengthened our team’s expertise and coordination.

The “Business Icon of the Year” award given to Mr. Tran Thanh Phuong recognizes more than executive leadership—it affirms his role as a strategic and forward-thinking figure in Vietnam’s compliance landscape. As CEO, Mr. Phuong not only developed ExtendMax’s operational system but also actively participated in complex client consultations, contributed to legal policy forums hosted by VCCI, and authored legal commentary to support regulatory improvements for businesses.
Beyond leadership, Mr. Phuong remains closely engaged with legal research—reading regulatory bulletins, comparing Vietnamese laws with international standards, and working with the team to proactively advise clients. He is also one of the few Vietnamese professionals invited to serve as a judge for global competitions like the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards and the Globee Business Awards—a reflection of ExtendMax’s dual approach: deeply rooted in the local legal system, yet aligned with global best practices.

Awards are milestones, not endpoints. After the congratulations fade, the ExtendMax team returns to our daily responsibilities—reviewing technical documents, working with authorities, and guiding clients through complex legal frameworks. This is the nature of our work: precise, detail-driven, and often unnoticed, but vital to keeping operations lawful and efficient.
Moving forward, ExtendMax will continue investing in talent development, upgrading internal systems, and expanding international collaborations—not only to maintain our position but to deliver lasting value to clients and support a more transparent, efficient business environment in Vietnam.
“We don’t work for recognition, but every recognition like this reminds us we’re on the right path.”
